KYIV, Jan 3 - The increase in electricity tariffs for the population from June 1 made it possible to accumulate approximately UAH 16-18 billion over the seven months of the year, which were aimed at restoring the energy system and preparing for the autumn-winter period, Energy Minister Herman Haluschenko said.

“Citizens provided enormous assistance in restoring the energy system. We changed the tariff for the population, and thanks, among other things, to these funds paid by consumers, we managed to recover,” the minister noted.
