KYIV, Dec 27 – In December 2023, the state budget of Ukraine received around $5 billion in external financing, which is twice as much as in the previous month, grants provided on a non-refundable basis accounted for over 11% of the total amount of financial assistance, the press service of the Finance Ministry of Ukraine has said on Wednesday.

"The international assistance is directed to finance priority social expenditures of the State Budget, in particular, to pay salaries of employees of the education and healthcare sectors, humanitarian needs, and social protection of the population," it said.
