KYIV, Nov 28 – President of National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom Petro Kotin and CEO of the UK-based Urenco Boris Schucht signed a contract for the supply of enriched uranium product for Ukrainian nuclear power plants until 2035.
According to a report from the Ukrainian company on its Telegram channel, the contract includes the possibility of extension until 2043.
"Energoatom has reached a new important strategic agreement with our reliable partner Urenco and will receive a stable supply of enriched uranium for the production of nuclear fuel for decades to come," Kotin, whose words are quoted in the report, said.
