KYIV, Nov 28 - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Energy Community Secretariat have signed an agreement on a U.S. grant contribution to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund totaling $25 million (EUR23 million), the Ministry of Energy announced.
As noted in its release on Tuesday, this is the first contribution from the U.S. government to the fund.
“The Ukraine Energy Support Fund is an effective mechanism for purchasing equipment necessary for Ukrainian energy companies to restore and repair infrastructure after enemy attacks. We thank our American partners for this contribution, which will strengthen the energy security of our state,” said Energy Minister Herman Haluschenko.
