European Parliament worried about Russia's ability to bypass sanctions

BRUSSELS, Nov 9 – The European Parliament is worried about Russia's ability to bypass international sanctions and wants a full closure of the EU market to Russian fossil fuels and that frozen Russian assets be used to fund reconstruction in Ukraine.

The Parliament adopted relevant resolution during a plenary session in Brussels on Thursday.

In particular, the Parliament voiced its alarm over existing loopholes in the EU's sanctions regime against Russia.
