KYIV, Nov 7 – President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is initiating the creation of economic conditions for the import of electricity to compensate for its possible shortage in the Ukrainian energy system in the coming winter.

The recommendation of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC) is contained in President's Decree No. 737/2023 dated November 7, 2023, which put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated the same date "On additional measures to strengthen the sustainability of the functioning of the energy system and the preparation of the national economy for the autumn-winter period of 2023/2024."
