KYIV, Oct 31 – The plants of the Ostchem nitrogen holding, which unites the enterprises of Group DF’s nitrogen business, produced 1.57 million tonnes of mineral fertilizers in the first nine months of 2023, which is 92% more than the same period last year, Group DF said in a press release on Tuesday.

“At the same time, we have not yet been able to reach the pre-war level: the utilization of the main capacities of the plants during the year did not exceed 70-80%. The reason for the underutilization is the critical increase in the volume of imports of fertilizers that are currently imported into Ukraine,” noted Serhiy Pavliuchuk, head of Ostchem’s nitrogen business.
