KYIV, Oct 26 – Assurances from Ukraine's international partners so far allow us to count on receiving $45 billion in financial assistance this year, although political risks are increasing, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Serhiy Nikolaychuk has said.
"Of course, there are high risks that this official assistance may be less. These risks have really intensified over the last month or two. However, the assurances that we receive from international partners give us grounds to still use as a base scenario the volumes of international assistance that are stated in our forecast, in particular, $45 billion for this year, while in the last forecast we included $42 billion," he said during a press briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.
