KYIV, Oct 25 – Kamet Steel plant of the Metinvest mining and metallurgical group, created at the facilities of Dniprovsky Metallurgical Plant (Dnipropetrovsk region), carried out a number of measures to increase the efficiency of the units and reduce the consumption of electricity and natural gas.

According to a press release, in particular, the cost factor of the metal was reduced from 1,026.9 kg to 1,026.2 kg per ton of finished rolled products. This was achieved primarily by optimizing the settings of the tribe devices of the 400/200 mill slitting line. The introduction of these measures made it possible to reduce the cut on the cold cutting knife in the production of reinforcing profiles.
