KYIV, Oct 16 – The cost of construction and installation work in Ukraine has increased by 35% since the beginning of 2023 against the backdrop of a personnel shortage that has reached 40% in some companies, said managing partner of the DIM group of companies Oleksandr Nasikovsky in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
“There really is a shortage of highly qualified personnel. Today there is an acute shortage of monolithic workers, crane operators, painters, and electricians. In some places in the market, the deficit in companies reaches 40%, which significantly affects the industry. The cost of construction and installation work has already increased by more than 35% since the beginning of the year, which is due to both inflation and a shortage of personnel. I believe that by the end of the year we will still see growth of at least 5-7% in this category,” he said.
