KYIV, Oct 13 – The German government, through the German development bank KfW, has allocated EUR 76 million to NPC Ukrenergo to finance the construction of engineering protection for substations, the installation of new high-voltage equipment, in particular autotransformers, and the modernization of the grid on the border with Europe.
As the company reported on its Facebook page, the corresponding agreement was signed today online by head of the board of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky, KfW senior project portfolio manager Almut Ahlers and KfW regional manager for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia Michael Evers. The agreement was signed in the presence of Ambassador of Germany to Ukraine Martin Jaeger and Chairman of the KfW Representative Office in Ukraine and Moldova Lorenz Gessner.
