KYIV, Oct 12 – Ukraine, which has received $10.9 billion in state budget funding in the form of grants from the United States since the beginning of this year, expects to increase this amount to $13.2 billion by the end of this year, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.
"We are working to ensure that this will be the case next year," he said at the opening of the Kyiv International Economic Forum on Thursday.
He recalled that the budget deficit this year still remains at the level of 20% of GDP, but it was possible to finance it without emission through external financing. If last year $32 billion in grants and preferential loans were received, then this year $42 billion is expected, Shmyhal specified.
