KYIV, Oct 5 – Dry weather in the autumn of 2023 will allow Ukrainian farmers to get a good harvest, but will prevent them from sowing traditional areas with winter wheat and rapeseed, which will subsequently affect world prices, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solsky said during the United News marathon.
"Dry sunny weather, if we are talking about winter crops, is not an advantage, but a holding back of the sowing season... We will sow less winter wheat than last year. But this is not a critical story. This happens when there is a dry autumn. Farmers don't pay attention to this… They will still have the opportunity to sow these fields with crops in the spring," the minister said.
