KYIV, Sept 27 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) confirmed its May forecast for the Ukrainian economy to grow by 1% in 2023 after a 29.1% decline last year, although most Ukrainian and international analysts have recently significantly improved their estimates.
"In Ukraine, GDP growth of 1 per cent is expected for 2023, reflecting a sharp year-on-year contraction in the first quarter. This is likely to be followed by an increase of 3 per cent in 2024," according to the Regional Economic Prospects, updated and released Tuesday.
