KYIV, Sept 11 – State-owned Enterprise National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom and U.S. ConverDyn signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of uranium conversion and a privacy agreement.
According to the Energoatom press service, potential cooperation with ConverDyn includes assistance in increasing uranium production at the state-owned enterprise Skhidny Mining and the construction of a plant to convert the country's natural product into uranium hexafluoride (UF6) – "a process that is an integral part of creating a complete nuclear cycle in the country."
