KYIV, Sept 8 – Ukraine expects to begin negotiations on accession to the European Union in 2023, which will be a significant investment in a secure future for Europe, Deputy Head of the President's Office Ihor Zhovkva has said.

"We're looking forward to the start of negotiations on the EU accession this year. This will be a significant investment in a secure future for Europe," the press service quoted Zhovkva as saying at a meeting with a delegation of the group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament headed by with President Iratxe García Pérez.
