KYIV, Sept 8 – Consumer prices in Ukraine in August 2023 decreased by 1.4% after a decrease of 0.6% in July and an increase of 0.8% in June, the State Statistics Service reported on Friday.

At the same time, in August 2022, inflation was recorded at 1.1%, so at the end of August 2023 it decreased to 8.6% year-over-year from 11.3% at the end of July and 12.8% at the end of June.

In addition, the State Statistics Service in August recorded underlying inflation at zero for the second month in a row after deflation of 0.1% in June.
