KYIV, Sept 5 – The total public debt of Ukraine in August 2023 increased by 3.1% to a new historical maximum: in U.S. dollar terms - by $4 billion, to $132.92 billion, and in hryvnia - by UAH 146.2 billion, up to UAH 4.9 trillion, according to data on the website of the Ministry of Finance.

According to them, direct public debt increased by 3.3%, to $123.63 billion, or up to UAH 4.5 trillion, and amounted to 93.0% of the total amount of public and publicly guaranteed debt.
