KYIV, Aug 31 – Ukraine will be able to balance the consumption of electricity in the winter months by importing it if the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC) revises the price caps on the power market, CEO of NPC Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky has said.
"It is necessary that the regulation in the electricity market slightly improves. Because it is an unhealthy situation when Ukrenergo attracts emergency assistance from neighbors, which is more expensive, and cheaper commercial imports cannot enter the system due to price restrictions in the Ukrainian market," he said during the national telethon on Wednesday.
