KYIV, Aug 25 – Centrenergo, a state-controlled power generating conglomerate in central Ukraine, plans to import coal for the autumn-winter period of 2023/2024, General Director Andrey Churkin said.
"We won't get through this winter completely on our own coal. And in the near future Centrenergo plans to conclude contracts with foreign companies. There are already certain developments, I think that within a month there will be a result. We need to reach the volume of at least 80,000 tons of coal per month," he said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
