KYIV, Aug 21 – Agricultural holding Kernel, one of the largest in Ukraine, has almost completed the harvesting of winter wheat on an area of 60,000 hectares and winter rapeseed from 10,000 hectares, and notes an increase in yields for them and predicts an increase in production of all crops in the 2023 season, according to the company's announcement on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
According to the report, in the 2023 season, the agricultural holding expanded the area under winter wheat by 1.7 times, and under winter rapeseed - twice compared to last year's figures. Favorable weather conditions made it possible to obtain a larger yield of these crops: the yield of winter wheat reached 6.6 tons/ha, which is significantly higher than a year earlier, when it was 4.6 tons/ha; winter rapeseed - 3.3 tons/ha compared to 2.5 tons/ha a year earlier.
