KYIV, August 21 – The growth of Ukraine's real gross domestic product (GDP) slowed down to 8% in July compared to the same period last year from 15% in June, primarily due to the high statistical base, as the rate of GDP decline in the third quarter of last year slowed down significantly, according to the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER).
"Economic activity has not yet come close to pre-war levels: according to our estimates, GDP has fallen by 25% compared to July 2021," the IER said in its monthly economic monitoring.
