KYIV, Aug 17 – With the current level of income and expenses of the population, the vacancy rate of the shopping and entertainment centers in Kyiv may reach 17% by the end of 2024, Kostiantyn Oliynyk, head of the strategic consulting department at UTG, told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to a UTG study, the vacancy rate of the capital's shopping and entertainment centers decreased from 16.5% at the end of 2022 to 14.7% in the second half of 2023. Taking into account the temporarily closed stores of international brands, 21.1% of the area is empty (at the end of 2022 it was 21.4%). Before the war, 10.3% of the area was free.
