KYIV, Aug 16 – Due to hot weather, the evening maximum electricity consumption on Tuesday, August 15, increased by 3% compared to Monday, August 14, which is equal to the production volumes of two power units, NPC Ukrenergo reported.

"Simultaneous switching on of tens of thousands of air conditioners greatly overloads the energy system, because due to large-scale repairs at many power plants, the ability to attract additional capacity is significantly limited," the system operator notes in a daily update on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.
