KYIV, Aug 15 - Alternative routes for the export of grain from Ukraine, in particular, through river ports on the Danube, cannot replace the Black Sea Grain Initiative, so it is urgent to reach an agreement on the grain corridor again, Chairman of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK) Rusen Cetin believes.
“After the closure of the grain corridor, intensive traffic is observed, since all ships are concentrated near Izmail, Reni and Kiliya – in ports connected with the mouths of the Danube River. There is no shipment by large ships to Africa or China from here. It is urgent to reach an agreement on the grain corridor again,” Bloomberg quoted him as saying.
