KYIV, July 22 - Ukrainian pilots will start training on F-16 fighter jets in the next few weeks and will be flying combat missions against Russian units before the end of the year, The Telegraph reported.
This is earlier than Ukrainian officials had predicted when NATO agreed this month to set up an F-16 training center in Romania.
“It’s a matter of weeks, not months,” said US national security adviser Jake Sullivan. “We’re going to push as fast as possible.”
