KYIV, July 14 – Ukraine intends to return to operation this year up to 35% of agricultural land out of 470,000 hectares identified for priority demining, First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko said.
"The restoration of agricultural land is crucial for the recovery and further development of the Ukrainian economy. It is also important for world food security. Indeed, despite the war, Ukraine continues to supply food to countries on the brink of famine," Svyrydenko said at an online meeting with Executive Director of the UN World Food Programme Cindy McCain.
