VILNIUS, July 11 – NATO has condemned Russia's irresponsible nuclear rhetoric as well as its announced intention to deploy nuclear weapons and nuclear-capable systems on Belarusian territory.
This is stipulated in the Vilnius Summit Communique published on Tuesday.
"Russia is modernizing its nuclear forces, including its large stockpile of theatre-range weapons, and expanding its novel and disruptive dual-capable delivery systems. It is unacceptable that Russia uses such dual-capable systems to attack civilians and critical civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. We condemn Russia's announced intention to deploy nuclear weapons and nuclear-capable systems on Belarusian territory, which further demonstrates how Russia's repeated actions undermine strategic stability and overall security in the Euro-Atlantic area. We condemn Russia's irresponsible nuclear rhetoric and coercive nuclear signaling," the document says.
