KYIV, July 10 – More than half (56%) of the polled Ukrainians expect the upcoming NATO Summit in Vilnius to guarantee Ukraine's accession to the Alliance, 27% are more skeptical and believe that no specific decisions will be made at the summit, and 13% believe that the summit will end only with a promise to provide weapons, a recent poll showed.
"Expectations from the NATO Summit on July 11, 2023 in Vilnius among respondents living in Ukraine are multi-vector. Although in general, more than half (56%) expect guarantees from the summit for Ukraine's accession to NATO (29% in the short term, 27% in the long term), 27% believe that no specific decisions will be made at it and everything will be limited to general phrases, another 13% believe that Ukraine will not be promised entry into NATO, but will be promised that weapons will be supplied," the press release of the Rating group said.
