KYIV, June 30 – The Ukrainian Association of Secondary Metals (UAVtormet) projects an increase in the volume of ferrous scrap procurement this year by 20% compared to the previous year, to 1.2 million tons.
As UAVtormet President Volodymyr Bubley said at the XI International Scientific and Practical Conference "Ukrainian Scrap Metal Market: Challenges of Martial Law" held on Friday, such a forecast is more optimistic compared to others, in which the volume of scrap procurement is expected to be 2023 at the level of 1 million tons.
