KYIV, June 23 – Ukraine aims to return to productive use 80% of lands potentially contaminated by mines and other explosive objects within 10 years, First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said at the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2023) in London on Thursday.
"According to Ukrainian experts, 90% of the work in Ukraine will be associated with the release of land and only about 10% with mine clearance. Therefore, it is proposed to detect slightly contaminated or uncontaminated land among potentially contaminated ones and quickly return them to operation," Svyrydenko noted.
