KYIV, June 21 – After the war, Ukraine will be very interesting for private investors for the development of renewable energy sources, Managing Director for Climate Strategy and Delivery at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Harry Boyd Carpenter has said.
There will also be a huge wave of investment in renewable energy. Ukraine really has a history of success, because before the war there was an extraordinary boom in renewable energy – 5 GW of privately financed renewable energy. And this is a template for Ukraine in the future, Carpenter said during the discussion on Ukraine's transition from coal to clean energy ahead of the London Recovery Conference (URC2023) scheduled for June 21-22.
