KYIV, June 19 – ABH Holdings S.A. (ABHH, Luxembourg) would seek protection under the BLEU (Belgium- Luxembourg)-Ukraine Bilateral Investment Treaty if Ukraine nationalizes its Sense Bank (formerly Alfa-Bank, Kyiv), which implies filing a lawsuit with an international court if the country refuses to voluntarily compensate for lost investments.

"In case of nationalisation of JSC Sense Bank, the loss to ABHH and its shareholders will be significant. Accordingly, ABHH will be taking appropriate measures, in terms of both domestic and international law and available treaties, in order to protect its investment and mitigate the losses," the holding said in a statement on Saturday.
