KYIV, June 14 – ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region) due to problems with providing the enterprise with process water after the Russian occupiers blew up the dam of Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant (HPP), reduced production to 15%-20% of the pre-war level from 30%-40% achieved recently.
At the organized European Business Association (EBA) discussion titled "Kakhovka HPP explosion: Implications for business" on Wednesday, CEO of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih Mauro Longobardo said that from an industrial point of view, the company faces the consequences and it can use reserves. According to him, the company worked and had about 30%-40% lately, now it is returning to 15%-20% of its workforce. The company's CEO said they do not see now the opportunity to receive more orders.
