Journal Staff Report

KYIV, June 9 – President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a call with Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida, the President's Office press service said on Friday.

"The head of the Ukrainian state thanked Fumio Kishidi for Japan's support in organizing his recent visit to Hiroshima to participate in the G7 leaders' summit. Volodymyr Zelenskyy welcomed the Japanese presidency with the successful results of the G7 summit, at which, in particular, important decisions were made to further consolidate international support for Ukraine in countering Russian aggression," the presidential press service said.

The president briefed the Prime Minister of Japan about the consequences of Russia's blowing up Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant and about his visit to the southern regions of Ukraine, which were in the disaster zone.
