KIEV, Dec. 8 ??“ Ukraine's national nuclear energy generating company EnergoAtom plans to hike by 7% the price of electricity to 9.5 kopecks per kWh, according to EnergoAtom President Andriy Derkach.

The plans may be a challenge for the company as power prices are strictly controlled by the government, which fears too rapid price hikes may spur inflation.
