KYIV, May 22 - DTEK energy holding wants to build a powerful wind farm in Poltava region, as it sees quite large prospects for efficient electricity production in this region, said Oleksandr Selischev, head of DTEK RES.
"We analyzed the wind map throughout Ukraine and saw that, in particular, near large reservoirs, such as Kremenchuk, the wind flow - 7 m/s - is quite good according to average European indicators. In addition, with the help of new technologies, we can catch more wind. For example, the height of the turbine is getting bigger," he said at a press conference on the opening of Tylihulska wind farm in Mykolaiv region.
