KYIV, May 19 – Agricultural business associations of Ukraine have appealed to Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Matti Maasikas with a request to facilitate the urgent unblocking of agricultural exports from Ukraine to the European Union, as well as the removal of obstacles to import and transit in accordance with the EU Implementing Regulation 2023/9 adopted on May 2.
As indicated in the appeal of 24 associations, the adopted regulation was supposed to narrow the unilateral ban on the import of a wide range of Ukrainian agricultural products introduced by a number of EU countries to a ban on the import of wheat, corn, sunflower and rapeseed to Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania, however, some of these countries are still not fulfilling the agreement.
