Ukraine’s dairy exports drop 27% in April on import bans, weak demand
Journal Staff Report

KYIV, May 17 – In April 2023, Ukraine exported 6,550 tons of dairy products, which is 27% less than in March, while imports increased by 3% and reached 5,170 tons, the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UCAB) reported.

"Despite the fact that some bans have already been lifted, they have had a very negative impact on the external economic situation in the industry. The last time such export volumes were observed a year ago, before the European Parliament supported the termination of the import duty on Ukrainian agricultural products," UCAB analyst Maksym Hopka said.
