KYIV, May 5 – GTSOU LLC has received applications from more than ten companies that are considering the possibility of building 31 biomethane plants in Ukraine with a productivity of 225 million cubic meters per year, said the company's general director Dmytro Lyppa at parliamentary hearings on the development of alternative energy sources.

"The successful positioning of Ukrainian biomethane in the EU markets requires a detailed and balanced approach, the purpose of which is to develop mechanisms for cross-border trade in biomethane, in particular, to remove barriers for the sale of biomethane transported by the gas transmission system to the EU countries," he said.
