KYIV, May 5 – Solvent banks of Ukraine in January-March 2023 received UAH 34 billion of net profit against UAH 152 million loss for the same period in 2022, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said on Friday.

"The main drivers of the sector's profitability are the growth in income as a result of the gradual resumption of banking activity and the relatively insignificant volumes of additional formation of reserves," the NBU said on its website.
