KYIV, April 19 – The largest European low-cost airline, Ryanair, is ready to quickly resume operations in Ukraine when it becomes safe to fly again, having opened 30 routes and built several bases in a year, Michael O'Leary, CEO of Ryanair Holdings Plc, has said at the Bloomberg New Economy Gateway conference Europe.
O'Leary said they could fly there (to Ukraine) in about two weeks. We are actively looking for ways and looking for where we can return to Ukraine, he said.
According to him, the company currently employs about 60 Ukrainian pilots and about 80 crew members, who are mostly at Ryanair bases in Poland, waiting for the market to open.
