KYIV, April 17 – Real gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine in March 2023 grew by almost 28% compared to March 2022 (the first full month of the Russian full-scale invasion), at the same time, compared to the pre-war March 2021, it is 31% lower, such an assessment was given by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER).
"According to IER experts, real GDP fell by 46% in March 2022, as shelling took place throughout Ukraine, a large territory was temporarily occupied, supply chains were broken, and uncertainty was higher than ever," the study notes in relation to the comparison base for March of this year.
