WASHINGTON, April 13 – A total of $14 billion needed by Ukraine for a quick recovery this year, confirmed by a World Bank study, should be raised by the middle of this year, as now the country was able to provide less than half of this amount in the budget, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.
"We need to raise the funds no later than the first half of this year to have time to invest this money in social infrastructure, transport infrastructure," he said on Wednesday, addressing the participants of the third ministerial roundtable discussion for support to Ukraine, which took place as part of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Spring Meetings in Washington.
