KYIV, April 12 – The National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom and the Canadian company Cameco have signed an agreement, which was the last necessary stage for implementing the program for the use of Ukrainian uranium in the production of nuclear fuel for Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
"It is the agreement on weighing, sampling, analysis, storage, and organization of transportation of uranium concentrate produced by SOE Skhidny Mining, which was signed in Canada on April 11, 2023 by President of Energoatom Petro Kotin and President and CEO of Cameco Tim Gitzel in the presence of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal," Energoatom said on its Telegram channel.
