KYIV, March 3 – Ukraine plans to strengthen the physical protection of generation and energy infrastructure, and the country will actively implement them throughout the year in preparation for the next heating season, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
"During the spring-summer of last year, we have already developed appropriate projects to protect power facilities from concrete coverings to underground recesses to a level sufficient so that neither drones nor missiles can damage the distribution network. We will carry out this work throughout the year, preparing for the next heating season. In addition, we will take technological steps to protect our generating units. Some of them have already been implemented," Shmyhal said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.
