Russia lowering water level in Kakhovka threatens Zaporizhia NPP
Journal Staff Report

KYIV, Feb 13 – President of National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom Petro Kotin has called the lowering of the water level in the Kakhovka reservoir by Russian invaders a new threat to the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP), expressing hope that the international community, with the assistance of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), will not allow a critical situation.

"There are a lot of threats at the ZNPP. The lowering of the water level in the Kakhovka reservoir is a newly added threat," Kotin said during a briefing at one of the nuclear power plants.
