KYIV, Feb 6 - Ukraine will seek to join a project of shipping Caspian Sea natural gas to the European Union to weaken Russia’s clout on the regional energy market, Deputy Energy Minister Mykola Kolisnyk said Saturday.
Kolisnyk said Ukraine will work closely with the U.S., the European Union, Turkey and Azerbaijan in organizing the Southern Gas Corridor for exports of natural gas in addition to an oil pipeline that is being built.
