KYIV, Feb 2 – The shortage in Ukraine's power system decreased on Thursday due to a decrease in electricity consumption compared to the beginning of the week, although it still remains significant, NPC Ukrenergo said.

"The generating capacity in the system is enough to cover about 80% of the needs of consumers," the company says in its daily update on the Telegram channel.

All regional power companies have been given slightly increased limits due to the deficit reduction.
