Pro-govt coalition under pressure to split, Communist lawmaker says

KIEV, Nov. 29 ??“ Ukraine??™s pro-government coalition is under pressure to split after its member, the Socialist Party, joined forces with opposition groups to approve a bill declaring the 1932-1933 famine as genocide, a lawmaker said Wednesday.

Oleksandr Holub, a member of the Communist Party, a small coalition partner, said the party will hold a meeting on Dec. 9 that may decide on whether the party should quit the coalition.
